Today we look at the period leading up to the First Continental Congress beginning with a look at Loyalists versus Patriots. The period of 1760-1774 is a critical time frame for the Colonies. This period is marked by the Stamp Act and the Townsand Act that provokes increased hatred toward the Crown and increased boycotts of British goods. This leads us to the Boston Massacre as British Troops are ordered to use deadly force to bring the Colonies back into obedience with the Crown. These actions fail, furthering the divide between Loyalists and Patriots. From this arises the First Continental Congress.

Don’t take this amiss because I include most of the human family in this…you have to ask…you we REALLY value freedom? Because if we all turned our backs on all of it …but no we give them the power they have. It drives me nuts! I have run a one woman disrupt campaign for years - pay bills sporadically, don’t support corporate, but it needs ALL of us they pick us off one by one and operate by instilling fear. Where is our FAITH??
